WEEK 14 RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

New Argentina sounds

Puebla
Chica

Puebla is a band from the city of La Plata that started as an all-girl trio with Maria Jose Tolosa, Josefina Hernalz and Manuela BM and then they expanded to the current six-piece adding a guitarist, a bassist and a drummer. Following their full albums "Mundar" ( 2015 ) and "La trama de Los confines" ( 2017 ) and some EPs, "Chica" is their new single, displaying a catchy, sunny pop sound with harmonized vocals reminiscent of Belle and Sebastian and the Beach Boys.

Las Luces Primeras
Plantas Negras (Black Plants)

"Plantas negras" is extracted from the new album of Las Luces Primeras (the stage name of artist Mariano Peccinetti, from Mendoza province ) called "Savia roja". Following his releases Forestal Tape (2018) and Sensualista (2015), this indie artist brings back his neo-psychedelia style with this quality song, featuring surreal lyrics. Las Luces Primeras has shared the stage with international artists such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Wild Nothing and Homeshake, and has participated in various festivals such as Music Wins, Personal Fest, Konex Fest.

Piccolini
No voy a ir (I'm not going to go)

This is the long-awaited solo debut of Guillermo Piccolini, former keyboard player of Spanish group Los Toreros Muertos and duo Pachuco Cadaver, with Roberto Pettinato. Here's a beautiful song about death with an acoustic and accurate production that shows his great talent. After having produced and engineered artists such as El Otro Yo, Todos Tus Muertos and Daniel Melingo (among many others), this is his first solo album as an artist, showing renewed maturity and quality.
