WEEK 11 RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

New Argentina sounds

Barco
"Ey!"

They are a pop band from Vicente López, who made their debut with an EP, "Ultraliviano", back in 2011. Their second LP "Era es será" was nominated for best pop album at the Gardel Awards 2017. Led by their singer Alejandro Alvarez, they already showcased their songs at the Bue, Lollapalooza and Cosquín Rock Festivals. "Ey" is their most recent release, part of a series of loose songs that they have been releasing in the last 2 years, featuring a groovy soul sound.

Ainda
"Primavera" ft Jorge Drexler

A session for YouTube at the request of a French filmmaker brought together two students of music composition and marked their lives. Ainda is the Portuguese word (meaning "Yet") with which musicians Esmeralda Escalante and Yago Escrivá named this duo founded more than 10 years ago, a period during which their perfect melodies took them to stages in South America and Europe. "Primavera" is part of Millones, their most recent album, released in 2020. It features the participation of another expert melodies creator: Uruguay's Jorge Drexler.

Guacho Bleu
"Quiero bajar y no puedo" ("I want to get off and I can't")

Guacho Bleu is the alter ego chosen by Joel Guaglione to embark on a solo career that looks promising. He calls himself an "anti-musician". "Pepsi fría y antiácidos" from 2020 is the name of the only album he released so far. "Quiero bajar y no puedo" is his most recent single, in which a very good electric piano solo with jazzy chords surprises... and leaves you waiting for more.
