COVID 19 cases drop all over Argentina

Argentina's Minister of Health, Carla Vizzoti, reported on Monday that for the "third consecutive week" there has been a decrease in the number of cases, as a result of social care measures and the progress of vaccination throughout the country.

This drop also has a positive impact on the tension of the health system. "It is the first week in which there is a decrease in the number of people hospitalized in intensive care," Vizzotti pointed out.

As for the progress of the national vaccination plan against COVID-19, 32 percent of the entire population of the country already has received a first dose, the official informed. In addition, half of those over 20 years of age have started their vaccination schedule as well as nearly 90 percent of those over 60.

"Of those people over 60 years of age, almost 30 percent have completed their vaccination schedule," said the Minister.
