Coronavirus cases drop in Argentina, intensive care units clear up

The decrease has been going on for four months in Argentina, and has brought relief to the front-line health workers. Reports from various districts indicate there are various hospitals that have zero COVID patients in intensive care.

Those jurisdictions are the City of Buenos Aires as well as some cities in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Tierra del Fuego, Santiago del Estero and Chubut.

A year and a half into the pandemic, which left so far in Argentina more than 114,000 dead, the drop in the number of infections combined with protection measures that remain in force, plus the vaccination rollout are all factors driving this downward trend in hospital admissions.
