Foreign Policy recalibration RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Argentina to join the OECD

The new Foreign Minister, Diana Mondino, announced that Argentina will start the process to join the OECD, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The official informed this yesterday to the Director of Global Relations of the organization, Andreas Schaal, who participated in Milei's swearing-in ceremony.

Mondino informed that the government will sign this Monday the entry to the organization that groups the largest economies of the planet.

This is another step taken by Mondino to reshape Argentina's foreign policy.

Days before, the now Foreign Minister had revealed that the new government was going to cancel the country’s incorporation to the BRICS bloc.

This group of emerging economies comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa had invited Argentina to join last August, something celebrated by the administration of former president Alberto Fernández.
