After deportation from Argentina RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Druglord's family released in Ecuador

The family of a fugitive druglord, that was deported from Argentina on Friday, was released shortly after returning to Ecuador.

Inda Mariela Peñarrieta is the wife of drug lord Jose Adolfo Macias, known as "Fito," whose escape from prison triggered a wave of extreme violence in Ecuador.

The woman and her three children regained their freedom a few hours after touching Ecuadorian soil as there were no arrest warrants for them in their native country.

Fito's family was arrested on Friday in a private neighborhood on the outskirts of the Argentine city of Cordoba.

There they lived in a house they had bought with cash in November, police sources said.

The group was deported the same day aboard an Argentine Air Force plane.

Meanwhile, countries of the Andean Community held an emergency meeting due to the violence crisis in Ecuador.

The CAN members agreed to create a Border Security Force to confront transnational crime.
