Israel-Hamas conflict RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Argentina condemns refugee camp bombing

Argentina condemned the Israeli bombing of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, which left hundreds dead.

In a communiqué, the Foreign Ministry recognized Israel's right to defend itself and reiterated its repudiation of the Hamas attacks of October 7.

However, the message states, "nothing justifies the violation of international humanitarian law and the obligation to protect the civilian population in armed conflicts".

The Argentine government calls for guaranteeing the provision of essential services in the Palestinian territory, including hospitals and water desalination plants.

In the document, Buenos Aires again demands the immediate release of the more than 200 hostages held by Hamas.

Argentina reiterates that the captives, who continue to be victims of armed actions, must be released unconditionally and without delay by Hamas.
