Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer direct flights between the Uruguayan capital Montevideo and Bariloche, one of the main ski resorts in South America.

The service of the state-owned company will start operating on January 2 with two weekly frequencies.

This was announced yesterday by Argentine authorities in Buenos Aires, within the framework of the Tourism Fair.

Bariloche and other Patagonian cities receive more and more tourists from neighboring countries, especially from those where there is no snow, such as Brazil and Uruguay.
